Friends, how are you doing so far this week? Can you believe that we are near the end of September? Autumn/Fall has officially arrived.
I know that you are curious about today’s blog title. Here’s the story behind it. As you know, after being on a six week hiatus, the show returned to the “Tube” a couple of Saturdays ago. I called it Season 16, Episode 1. Well, this past Saturday night as I was drifting off to sleep, it occurred to me that I should separate the radio broadcasting time and experience from the YouTube show (even though it’s practically the same only adding the visual component). The YouTube channel was started back in 2009 and although I initially planned to merge it with the radio show, it never quite happened. The channel for the most part laid dormant for years. Fast forward to 2018 when the radio show was dropped, I relaunched the YouTube channel to carry on with what I enjoy doing.
Alright, so the blog title refers to how I will now document my shows on YouTube. The first show for the season was Episode 1 of Season 3. Again, three (3) representing the official YouTube experience beginning in 2018/2019 video broadcasting season. The world is changing you all right before our eyes. I decided to change with it. I would have never thought that internet broadcasting would be just as popular as radio and television but it is.
Stay with me on this journey my friends and many thanks for the continued support. Keep the prayers coming as I will also do for you. Be Blessed! Amen. And so it is!

Hello there everyone. I hope that you are having an amazing week!
Did you take some time to tune in to the first show of this new season? As I shared last week, I had lots of nervous energy leading up to the actual recording of the show. However, once I got going, I relaxed a bit and truly enjoyed being back on the “Tube” informing and sharing with you all.
It was Episode 1 of Season 16 because April of this year ushered in the 16th year of the show’s broadcast. This doesn’t include the 3 years that I worked as a radio dj/announcer in the early 1990s. Yes, I was. And, yes, I still know how to get a party started! LoL! Of course, as time marched on, I evolved into a talk show host. Listen, being a black woman in talk radio was not a cake walk. And, as we say in broadcasting, that’s a “whole nother” show or series of shows. Well, this season expect more interaction– visible and audio. And, as you saw/heard, Passion for Fashion is baaaaackkkk!!!

Well, here we are friends in the double digit days of September already. Labor Day has come and gone. Most all the children, college students, and their instructors have returned to school or work. In the midwest, summer has begun to bow to Autumn; and, we’ve been experiencing comfortable temps, and rainy, yet beautiful days.
So, this week’s blog will close out my thoughts on how we can apply Genesis 1:28 in all areas of our lives with the focus on “Replenish and Subdue”. I will not spend any time on ”…and have dominion over…” because I believe it’s meaning is explicitly and implicitly clear. Honestly, so is to “replenish and subdue”. But again, so that we can help ourselves and others become self-sufficient, here it is. I believe our Creator is not just referring to filling the earth with more humans/mankind as well as taking care of earth and the lives created. God wants us to “replenish”/fill by utilizing the gifts, skills, creative ideas we’ve been given so that we can have all that we need and want (spiritually and materially) to live a blessed life.
We are to “subdue”/control/manage OUR individual gifts, creative ideas, skills to not only bless our own lives but the lives of others too. Note that we are to “subdue” OUR lives, etc.—not the lives of others. Now, that behavior comes from another entity, not GOD! And sadly its responsible for all the “isms” that we are in the process of eradicating to this day. “Replenish and Subdue” YOUR life and bless others!
Okay everyone. That is all I have for you today. I can’t say it enough. Self-sufficiency is attainable. Again, simply do what God said—“Be Fruitful And Multiply” and “Replenish and Subdue”. Be Blessed! Amen. And so it is!

Happy September friends! Labor Day weekend is just a couple of days away. Be sure to stay safe everyone by social distancing and wearing your mask!
Well, this week’s blog is a continuation of last week’s message–Be Fruitful. This command comes from the bible book of Genesis and the words that follow are “And Multiply”. Now, some of you will argue that God was solely referring to procreation but I beg to differ. You see our Creator is simple and complex. Yes, he wants millions more Marilyns walking this earth (I know most of you are feeling elated at the thought of that!!! *LoL*) God specifically wants mankind to multiply (beyond learning and mastering your arithmetic–multiplication facts *LoL*). However, he also wants EVERYTHING that he has given us to multiply! He commanded mankind to “Multiply”.
Have you discovered or helped someone discover the creative ideas/thoughts, gifts, talents, etc. that God has gifted you/them? Well, now, it is time to take those seeds/fruit and “Multiply” them. Can you draw? If so, draw something unique and wonderful. Have it reprinted so that you can sell the drawing to more people. Does your family and friends love the cookies that you bake on special occasions? If so, make “multiple” batches of them and sell them! Are you good at persuading or convincing people to do something? Well, find something to sell and convince “multiple” people to make a purchase. What idea(s) has God dropped on you that you keep shrugging off or dismissing? Put those idea(s) to work and “Multiply”. Your seed/fruit must “multiply”.
Friends, remember what we are talking about here—self-sufficiency. It is attainable. Become Blessed so that you can ultimately bless others so that they can become “Fruitful and Multiply”. Again, all you have to do is what God said—“Be Fruitful And Multiply”. Amen. And so it is!
