Julius Jones’ Clemency Hearing that was set for October 25^th, 2021 has been delayed.

So please—even if you’ve done it already—contact Governor Kevin Stitt and the Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board and tell them to spare Julius’ life.

Julius has been on death row for more than half his life for a crime he’s always said he did not commit. The trial lawyers in his case have acknowledged their shortcomings that contributed to his wrongful conviction. Another man has told multiple people that he—not Julius—is the one who committed this crime. During the trial, the jury was made up of all white people and one Black person, and one jury member used a racial slur against Julius.

All of these things should cast doubt on Julius’ guilt, and in order to execute someone in this country—to take away their life forever—you must know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that they are guilty. And that simply is not the case here.

Executing an innocent person is something you can never take back.”

Friends, how are you this week?  I am doing well.  Although, I struggled pushing a blog out today.  Yesterday, I was confident that I had a topic but I got stuck as I began to type this afternoon.  Eventually, after I took a break from writing the blog to check emails, make calls, etc., I came up with this—Love.  More specifically, love in action.

Examples of Love in action outside of doing loving things for your own small circle of loved ones includes advocating for others; protecting others; fighting for others; teaching others; lifting others; edifying others; feeding others; checking others and checking on others; praying for others; etc.  The list of actions could go on and on.  Get moving friends.  Your neighbors (anyone you know or know of) are praying for an answer.  Be an answer to someone’s prayer.  Love and Act it Out!
