Hello friends.  I hope that you are having a remarkable week and new year!  I know that we all desire a break from (better yet, an end to) the pandemic pandemonium!  Well, just continue to stay in there, stand strong.  Things will get better.  In fact, they already are!  Repeating—Believe!  Have Faith.  Believe!  Have Faith.

On another note, have you ever just wanted to quit something that you’ve invested a lot of time, sweat, tears, and money in?  A business?  An invention?  A demonstration of a gift or talent that you were blessed with?  Listen, I recently seriously considered walking away from Marilyn’s Café Society and all that it encompasses including this blog.  It’s all been a “labor of love” for a very long time now and I was recently reminded of something that a professor shared years ago.  He said to never settle for your gift, talent, passion, creative ideas just being “labors of love”.  We are all deserving of being able to earn a living doing what we love.  And, so, because that has not been the case for me over the years, I thought that perhaps it’s time to throw in the towel.

However, I was encouraged to consider this before ending my run—walk away to do what?  Work on someone else’s “work of love or passion”?  Twiddle my thumbs?  Do other things that don’t necessarily bring me joy?  As a result of that consideration, well, here I am my friends!  I cannot walk away.  And so, I’ll continue to share with you for now.  I hope that makes you smile because I am.  I also hope this inspired you to keep going in Faith with your passion or “labor of love”.

As always, continue to stay safe and be well.  Remember to strengthen your immune system by eating healthy and taking a good multi-vitamin; wear your mask; watch your distance; and continue to wash your hands often.  In Jesus Name.  Amen.  And, so it is.
