Pruning and Weeding.

Marilyn Appreciating Birthday Flowers

Happy June my friends!  Well, let’s get right to it.  Now that the blooming of beautiful flowers, shrubbery, and trees have begun, we’ve got to be mindful of the important tasks of pruning and weeding.  The dictionary defines “pruning” as a verb and means to cut off or cut back, to trim or clip off unnecessary branches or parts of a tree, plant, flower so that it can have a more fruitful, better growth experience.  “Weeding” is described as the act of removing undesirable plants or weeds from flowerbeds or other unwanted places in a garden or yard.   This gardening process is a wonderful analogy to use for the blooming or growth that happens in our lives.

And so, to continue with the theme of growing and blooming, my friends, I challenge you to make sure that you remember to do the all important pruning and weeding in your life as you continue to grow and bloom.  Negative thinking, words, acts, environments, and people must be pruned away; weeded out of your life.  Surround yourself with and keep other beautiful flowers (or in this case people) around you.  Plant yourself in positive, nurturing, beautiful environments. Take care of you.

And, as always, be safe and be well.  Remember to strengthen your immune system by eating healthy and taking a good multi-vitamin; wear your mask; watch your distance; and continue to wash your hands often.  In Jesus Name.  Amen.  And, So It Is.
